Introduce
Welcome to Division of International Commerce at Pukyong National University.
The Division of International Commerce is aiming to train our students to be global leaders in international business arena. All students have a vision of becoming an expert in international commerce contributing to the prosperity of global society. To achieve this vision, our faculty and students are exerting their efforts to gain competitiveness leveling with global standard.
Our division offers three major fields: international commerce, international trade and commerce, international business. With a diversified study in our division, students earn well balanced knowledge necessary in international trade business. Students can also focus on a specific field among the three majors.
In addition to the coursework, students participate in a variety of extracurricular activities. Participating the Mock Commercial Arbitration or Mock Trade Remedy Investigation is a good way of applying the knowledge earned in classes to a simulated situation. Our team is usually awarded top prizes including the first prizes in annual competition for Mock Commercial Arbitration. ‘Squall’ is an academic study group in our division. In weekly meeting of group, students discuss various issues in international trade. Sometimes they submit research papers to a competition. Every year they got many awards in those competitions. We have ‘Haemir’ which is another study group preparing for examinations for Customs Brokers or customs related civil officers. A couple of tens of students pass one of the examinations every year.
